Catholic Community Services Human-Interest Narratives

Goal: Add a human element to the annual dinner auction’s fundraising program and appeal for donors’ support without resorting to pity.

Approach: Interview two current CCS clients, give voice to their struggles and highlight how CCS helped them stabilize their lives.

Highlights:

  2. ‘Beth’ is the first to admit that she made serious mistakes when she was younger. She thought she was in love. Thought she knew all the answers.
  3. …drugs sucked away his aspirations, leaving a vacuous addiction. At Tim’s birth, Levi was afraid that he would hurt his son just by holding him.
